“I live with my parents and brother. My father works in a private company, while my mother is a housewife. My brother is young. I study at the Rakesh Jain Secondary School, where I learn technical work like welding, repairing household appliances, fitting electrical boards etc, through the IBT training.
I like to learn these techniques as I know there are 25% reserved seats in ITI for those who have undergone the IBT training. Besides, this knowledge is also useful in everyday life. I can start my own business for electrical repairs.
I know I have the chance of a good future now.”
“I am a student of the Rakesh Jain Secondary School in Shivkar, and am extremely proud to be studying there. Even though it is in the rural area, the facilities provided at our school are like those in city schools. Emphasis is given to quality education that includes computer courses and various sports. Facilities like a modern lab, computer lab and equipment for different sports are also provided.
Along with the regular curriculum, the school also conducts IBT (Introduction to Basic Technology) courses that provide vocational training in knitting, embroidery, farming, welding, electrical, etc. This course prepares us to face the competitive world once we pass out of school.
We thank the Chakshu Foundation for giving our school this opportunity.”
